
LaKeisha D. Howard (independent) is the embodiment of faith in action—a U.S. Air Force Veteran, compassionate counselor, entrepreneur, minister, and resilient survivor whose life is rooted in service and love.
For over two decades, LaKeisha served her country with honor in the United States Air Force and continued her mission at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, advocating for countless service members and their families. Her experience gives her an invaluable insider's perspective on the challenges our veterans face.
A multi-passionate entrepreneur, LaKeisha has founded several businesses and non-profits dedicated to providing holistic support to underserved communities, veterans, unwed mothers, youth, and seniors. She is the founder of Anita’s Wellness and End-of-Life Concierge Services, LLC, Mothering the Mother and Motherless, Inc., and We Gotchu Corporation, all aimed at uplifting those in need.
Academically accomplished, she holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Marketing. This unique blend of empathy, strategy, and vision is informed by her deep understanding of both community needs and sound economic principles.
Above all, LaKeisha is a proud wife, daughter, and devoted mother of six, and "Nana" to nine wonderful grandchildren. Her family and her faith are the cornerstones of her commitment to public service.
