SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran, community advocate, minister, and servant leader L.D. Howard has launched a campaign as a Conservative Independent write-in candidate for Texas House District 124. L.D. Howard has received the official endorsement of the Texas Conservative Party.
After confronting Texas' demanding independent ballot-access process, L.D. Howard chose to continue as a declared write-in candidate rather than abandon the residents and priorities that brought the campaign into the race. The campaign is constitutionally grounded, faith-led, and independent of two-party control.
"My decision to continue as a write-in candidate is rooted in the principles that have guided my life: faith, service, perseverance, accountability, and respect for all people," L.D. Howard said. "This campaign belongs to the people of District 124. I will not abandon their voices simply because the path became more difficult."
The campaign motto is: Faith. Service. People First. Grounded in Matthew 19:26, "With God all things are possible," the campaign focuses on practical solutions, transparent government, and results residents can see and measure.
A Conservative Definition of Sustainability
For L.D. Howard, sustainability means strengthening families, businesses, and neighborhoods through self-reliance, responsible stewardship, local ownership, and solutions that reduce, not increase, dependence on government. The "Love in Action for Sustainability" platform turns compassion into accountable action that helps people build lasting stability.
