SAN ANTONIO, Texas – On Saturday, December 13, L.D. Howard, Independent candidate for Texas House District 124, hosted a "Tea, Tacos, and Resources" community gathering at Exquisite Elegance. The event brought together residents from across the West Side and Greater Lackland area to discuss a vision for the district rooted in faith, service, and "Love in Action".

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Oct. 7, 2025 – Retired U.S. Air Force veteran, counselor, and entrepreneur LaKeisha D. Howard officially launched her independent campaign for Texas House of Representatives District 124 today. Announcing her bid to a gathering of supporters, Howard outlined a vision centered on her motto, “Faith, Service, and People First.”

AUSTIN, Texas – L.D. Howard, a U.S. Air Force retiree and recent retiree from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, officially submitted her candidate application today to run as an Independent for the Texas State House of Representatives, District 124. Howard, accompanied by her husband Brian, traveled to Austin to file the application, formalizing her commitment to bringing servant leadership and a new, non-partisan voice to the Texas legislature.
